Watched this on a plane and I thought it was rather slow, bland and many moments seemed to lack meaning. It felt like a poorly executed Lost in Translation.
When forced to watch it a second time I began to see themes running from the first scene to the last and the sheer beauty of the story and its presentation BLEW ME AWAY.
If you didn't get it the first time, watch it a second time and consider the effects of fear on life, cultural preconceptions about danger and what wealth looks like.
A Hologram For The King is so much more than it appears to be.
