Review of A History of Violence (2005) by Edmund C — 24 Jul 2012
A very good film with a really decent premise & unpredictable plot that is executed very well. Viggo Mortensen is excellent as the enigmatic Tom Stall & his wife, Maria Bello, is also great. The film's first hour is golden with intrigue, suspense & mystery but then that is slightly lost & it becomes a bit of a farce.
Still well worth a watch, though, as it is still a satisfying conclusion.
