Review of A History of Violence (2005) by Daniel J — 25 Aug 2010
It was a generally slow movie--almost too slow. But it's a solid narrative nonetheless. While the movie departed from the comic in some serious ways, it was a little more resonating--especially seeing how his family reacted to his true identity.
Also, I thank God this movie left Tom's past for the audience to piece together as opposed to taking a half-hour explaining it (which I know some other filmmaker would have done).
