Review of A History of Violence (2005) by Travis R — 25 Aug 2010
I thought this movie was terrific. It's full of tension and suspense, it's a really interesting story. Great performances too and I thought the action sequences were very effective; shocking, brutal, and realistic.
I can't say the twist took me by complete surprise as I kind of figured it out halfway through the movie, but it kept my attention going. I believe there's a lot of different ways to interpret this movie, a lot of things going on below surface level.
A gripping film, give it a watch.
