Review of A History of Violence (2005) by Ken T — 22 Sep 2010
What at first seems like a nice Frank Capra-esque household soon enters Cronenberg territory after a bloody event brings out the past of the patriarch. Packs a whollop in just over 90 minutes with great performances (especially Hurt) and masterful helming by Cronenberg.
Sensational opening sequence. The best film of 2005.
