Review of A History of Violence (2005) by Eric O — 18 Dec 2010
Adorned by great performances by Viggo Mortensen, MarÃa Bello and William Hurt, a fantastic script by Josh Olson and a mesmerizing score by Howard Shore, this is a film whose only ambition is to show you the story of a man whose trying to escape from the violence that has always ruled his life, and finding out that it's not as simple as turning off a switch.
If there's a lesson to be learned from this story is that if you unleash violence to the world, it shall forever define who you are.
