A brutal piece of film that adds to Cronenberg's steadily growing list of fantastic films. While by no means a cinematic gem nor the best of Cronenberg's work, A History of Violence has a visceral power examining the nature of Violence and the duality innate in man.
If only perhaps the dialogue were as sharp.
