Review of A History of Violence (2005) by Byron K — 26 May 2012
I liked it, despite some of the acting... namely Ashton Holmes as the son Jack Stall... being so bad that it actually distracted me from the story.
Viggo does a good job, as usual, and the story is interesting, but I never once doubted that Tom Stall was the man the gangsters were looking for. Since I figured that Tom Stall was the man that they said he was, I found myself waiting for him to just get to it, instead I found myself standing around waiting for them to get the show on the road.
