Review of A History of Violence (2005) by Joe H — 23 Jan 2013
A chilling and compelling thriller about violence as a whole, and like its messy subject, the film is gritty and at times, as cold-blooded as its characters. Viggo Mortensen turns in a shattering performance as one such killer, ice cold and methodical, but always wanting to stop.
