Review of A History of Violence (2005) by Sean P — 11 May 2014
Not as good as Cronenberg's follow-up, Eastern Promises, this is still an effective thriller, even if it's so utterly ridiculous. And the ridiculousness is why I can't rate it any higher. For me, personally, it just didn't hold together.
The long cut at the beginning, however, is awesome. Awesome direction and cinematography.
