Review of A Hidden Life (2019) by Zmgalen2000 — 28 Dec 2019
Though erring on the side of too long with a runtime of just under three hours, A Hidden Life is one of the most impeccably-crafted films to recently hit cinemas. With breathtaking cinematography/visuals, raw acting/sentiment, and one of the most film-suiting soundtracks I have ever heard, A Hidden Life will transport its viewers on a three-hour emotional whirlwind.
However, the three-hour runtime felt a bit excessive, with the content of the film having a gravity so strong it weighs the viewer down after the first ninety minutes.
