Review of A Guy Named Joe (1944) by Sv G — 24 Dec 2008
Spencer Tracey plays an Army WWII fighter pilot / bomber who dies in action and comes back as a guardian angel for other fighter pilots. In the midst of that he keeps tabs on his "girl" that he left behind played by Irene Dunn who is being wooed by a young pilot played by a very young Van Johnson.
It's certainly a film indicative of it's wartime era - a fair little film at best but enjoyable because of the cast.
