A rookie film maker, raw but with vision pulls off a fictionalized movie about himself. The cast chews up the film and the story rides to the finish line. Worth a watch, but not a big splash as far as breaking through anything.
Altough it deals with great issues, the protagonist doesn't face up to the obstacles as the cliche hero is supposed to, that's what makes the movie good.
