A lively and raw coming-of-age story that is a bit over-indulgent and slightly amateurish. It's always a pleasure to watch Robert Downey Jr. Also, the young cast - especially Shia LaBeouf and Channing Tatum - are convincing.
However, the story and its characters are a bit too shallow, which prevents the audience from really caring for them.
