I was excited to watch this one... I love Robert Downey Jr. and Shia LaBeouf is pretty good too. I ended up disappointed. I thought the plot was something I'd already seen before... many times. The language was just over the top offensive, I don't care how "gritty NYC" you are trying to portray.
Some of the violence was lame. I didn't really care much for the characters.
