Review of A Guide for the Married Man (1967) by William W — 01 Nov 2007
A naughty time in a time and place that never existed except in the playboy advisor. matthau plays a happy married investment councellor whose marriage has lost a little spark. hard to imagine with inger steves in the other bed.
(yes, all married couples have seperate beds in 1966. through a series of vingettes champion philanderer robert morse gives matthau tips and stragies for successfully cheating. the stories involving terry-thomas/jayne mansfield and joey bishop (deny, deny, deny) are pricless, matthau does learn his leson and comes running home.
very funny after all these years. based on a book by the same name.
