Review of A Goofy Movie (1995) by Andrew G — 12 Sep 2009
This movie is well animated, like most Disney films, but the true charm of this film comes from the humor. I laugh my @$$ off every time I watch it. The interactions between Goofy and his son are (in my opinion) hysterically accurate.
The humorous scenarios of their cross-country trip, as well as the charm of the secondary characters, also helps significantly. The deeper meaning of the movie can also hit very close to home for many parents.
There's one exchange that pretty much sums it all up: "I have my own life, dad! I'm not your little boy anymore!" ... "I know you have your own life, I just wanted to be a part of it!" The movie also STINKS of 90's culture.
And I appreciate that.
