Review of A Goofy Movie (1995) by Lucas S — 20 Apr 2011
Probably the quintessential Disney movie for myself. This movie isn't just a wonderful soundtrack mashed up with hilarious scenes to create a montage of awesome. It dives deeper into what the "Goofs" are really comprised of.
Goofy is examined as a father who is coming to grips with the reality that his son is growing up and often-times there is little we can do as parents to change that. Max is rebelling as teenagers often do and fears he is becoming like his father.
As the two progress over the course of the film they find that though they are much alike there is still a great deal that they can learn from each other. As always Disney creates a heart-warming tale that we can all enjoy.
