This is one of my top five favorite movies! The scenes in London are sharp and urban, while the beautiful scenery in Provence is soft and scenic. The restaurant setting on their first date is a setting to yearn for and I escape into it and so enjoy the Provence setting, the story development, the characters and romance.
I think Russell as Max Skinner is a perfect fit, Albert Finney, unforgettable and the women provocative and strong. I've watched it over and over, finding comfort, pleasure and enjoyment everytime.
