Review of A Good Year (2006) by Nigel F — 22 Aug 2008
Max has inherited his uncle's chateau in France. Upon revisiting it, he is re-united with his childhood and re-discovers his uncle, a man he has not understood for a lifetime. It's easy to get lost in this rat-race, this dog-eat-dog world .
.. this film is a gentle reminder to learn to appreciate the joys of life ... the film is a visual treat, the characters and acting are cute, and the story chugs along predictably to a large extent. A Good Year is a good lazy watch!!!
