Review of A Good Year (2006) by Jill K — 01 Sep 2008
Although this film brought Ridley Scott and his muse, Russell Crowe, their first bad reviews, I thought it was a gorgeously-lit, sumptuously-shot and mildly funny way to spend a couple of hours. Corny and overlong it certainly is but Ridley Scott successfully evokes the beauty of Provence so that you feel you are there.
Nice.
