Review of A Good Year (2006) by Si F — 04 Feb 2009
Another Ridley Scott film, but different to anything of his I have seen before.
Set mostly in the stunning countryside of Provénce, France. This is a tale of City Banker (Russel Crowe) who is a total asshole, yet somehow likeable, and as the film progresses he becomes more and more likeable.
I am impressed by how well he (Crowe) pulled off the stereotypical English, cricket/tennis/golf playing, cucumber sandwich eating, arogant arse, that most Americans think we all are!!
