Review of A Good Year (2006) by Taba H — 05 Dec 2009
Part romantic drama, part slapstick comedy - directed by Sir Ridley Scott. So this all adds up to one of the most confusing movie experiences for a while. One cannot deny that the cinematography is stunningly beautiful (it's Scott's forte, after all).
Marion Cotillard is, of course, also stunningly beautiful. So is Provence. If the aim was to do a feel-good film, it is somewhat of a success. But if you want to see the really good and funny film about wine, see Sideways (again).
