Review of A Good Year (2006) by Joana L — 29 Jan 2010
I never thought of Russell Crowe as the romantic type, I was drawn to the movie because of its french setting, how couldn't you fall inlove with his uncle's estate..to see this cold and aggressive investment broker dismiss the memories & the warmth associated to this perfect vineyard setting was heartbreaking at the beginning but then when he was caught by surprise and totally smittened by this ordinary but confident young passionate french girl who would not trade her life for anything or anyone let alone a young successful corporate executive, oh no, she has more of a life than he does and almost instantly he made the hardest decision anyone would ever have to make, to throw in the towel of corporate life new york for a more grandeur scale in the french vineyards.
..reminds me so much of "under the tuscan sun"! enjoyed it!
