Review of A Good Year (2006) by Hans B — 24 Aug 2008
Overused story, overused plot, overused character building, overused the most. Long story short, stockbroker in London inherits a wineyard in France, and want's to sell it asap.. buuuuut.. One thing that should be stated once an for all, Russel Crow as a comic character is NOT good.. Also, some of the jokes are just too shallow, and bears the marks of an american director.. the brit gets into the car on the wrong side.. (ba-ba-ba-bom).
But, I will grant it this; it's cute, it is situation based, and some of them are a bit funny, and you have a "happy feeling" inside after watching it. SO.. 3 stars from me. On good-will!
