Review of A Good Woman (2004) by Anca B — 21 Sep 2009
I'm affraid I'm going to disagree once again with all the critics' groups which have failed this picture, but if you ask me I'd like to say this movie is astonishing, all the performances are terrific (specially Hunt and Wilkinson, what a great couple they are), Johansson is young but very talented, the locations are fantastic: they're a visual delight, the houses are very elegant and I'd really like to live in one of those.
The adaptation to Wilde's play is very well done, overall the film's entertaining, it made me laugh, it captures the scent of the original but also depicts what would have happened if Wilde had written the play in the 1930's.
