Review of A Good Day to Die Hard (2013) by Chinmayi P — 18 Oct 2013
Poor. With a franchise like this, you couldn't get someone better to write the script or to direct? I'm guessing in light of Bruce Willis' love of $$, maybe his salary was so high, they had no money left to pay anyone recognizable.
It's almost like they figure there's no need to write a script, just have John McClane look old and peeved about his vacation being ruined whilst he's in the midst of flying through the air slow motion with his sonny boy a number of times.
..Also, would have helped to have an actual bad guy, not just a bunch of baddish types. No Hans Gruber here, hell, not even a Simon! Don't waste your time, go watch the original(s) and remember a better time for our beloved Yippie Kai Yay Cowboy.
