Using a word like sclerotic, you should be watching Lion in Winter. This is a Bruce Willis bloodied up, shoot them up that fills the bill it was meant to. You don't go see a Die Hard movie for Iron Man special effects.
I thought it was a hoot, although I know it won't win any awards. So did they when they made it, just enjoy it for what it is. Bruce Willis wasn't one of the highest paid actors of all times because he could dance.
You go, Bruce.
