Review of A Good Day to Die Hard (2013) by Nicky S — 10 Oct 2014
OK...so if you love absolutely non-stop machine gun and explosion action and don't care for any dialogue whatsoever, this is the film for you. This movie, a pale shadow of the original Die Hard, is filled to the brim with cliches, stale jokes, corny father son bonding, and above all tons of mind-numbing, repetitive gun and explosion battles.
Bruce sounds like a pull-string action hero, saying "I'm on ******* vacation", " Jesus" and "let's kill some bad guys" like about two dozen times each. And the ending is about the worst I've ever seen, looking like it's from some insurance commercial.
That said, the movie was still entertaining. It's just a bit sad that this actually grossed more than Edge of Tomorrow, given that it looks like the only people fully awake during the production of this film were the stunt coordinators, and that the Die Hard series has come down this far.
