Review of A Good Day to Die Hard (2013) by Stanley K — 15 Mar 2015
Utterly crappy and shabby. Moronic script that demonstrates even less understanding (compared to the already dodgy fourth entry) of what made the original work. Dreary, pace free direction (not surprising given the director's other exertions that somehow still are treated as action movies), this time topped with strange, mindless choices (why have the Russian characters randomly switch between English and Russian when they speak amongst themselves?).
Poor casting, especially of the hopelessly uncharismatic son. No wonder Bruce Willis so blatantly looks like he wishes he were somewhere else.
