Review of A Good Day to Die Hard (2013) by Ray R — 28 Dec 2013
Maybe I am far too forgiving of action films but I loved the hell out of this film. it is 97 minutes of undemanding action with Bruce running around blowing shit up and surviving improbable scenarios again and again. The introduction of his son was interesting and I enjoyed the camaraderie between the two. Compared to the original trilogy this is quite shallow in terms of plot and the main villian is quite weak. However there were still some unique twists which managed to surprise me. There is not much more to say other than that this is a thoroughly enjoyable action film, maybe not a great die hard film, but if you want a thrill ride where you can turn your brain off and watch Willis destroy half of Russia I suggest you watch this. I cannot understand the poor reviews, Bruce never dissappoints. 4 pork pies.
and a small piece of scotch and egg.
