Review of A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night (2014) by Rob T — 24 Apr 2015
No where near as good as both versions of "Let the Right One In" but watchable. Thought it was going to be better with all these rave reviews but it was not. Slow burn that does not define the role whatsoever of the vampire.
Movie had story holes as well - SPOILER ALERT....why did the story go one way in beginning with what I thought was the vampire's role; defending what was right by killing the town's evil drug dealer and warning the little boy to "be good until his dying day"? only to forget about the beautiful daughter of the mansion he worked at as a groundskeeper/handyman to buy his precious car.
Vampire let hooker live as well. This movie was not sure at all which direction it wanted to go in.
