Review of A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night (2014) by Bill B — 12 Jan 2017
This film is something that had gotten a ton of great reviews before I finally got around to seeing it, and I would have to say that all the hype paid off. Shot in a crisp black and white, it tells the strange love story of the titular girl, a vampire who meets a sad sack guy and their oddball courting that ensues. Our male lead is in trouble with the local drug dealer, who supplies his layabout father with drugs, and the girl seems to have walked out of a gloomy '90s music video, and it's all just eye-candy for a fan of indie cinema.
