Haunting! Sorry, I couldn't help myself. But, seriously, I'm not sure thefilm has anything original to say about grief, which is its main subject. The grief that accompanies death, aging, disappointments, and change.
But it says what it does with originality, subtlety, and a style that is surprisingly spare for a film that crosses so many genres.
