This could have been an hour shorter, and despite an achingly long time to do anything, it still accomplished less than Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away. Vast parts of it were like watching an old-fashioned slide show with the projector stuck on a single slide.
It had neither the bite and surprise of Jacob's Ladder nor the shock of Sixth Sense. It, like Casey Affleck's ghost, just sat there for a very, very long time.
