Undeniably dated, A Free Soul is an old-school "talkie" that's worth watching just for the promise shown by Clark Gable in one of his earlier roles, and the Oscar-winning pre-Hays-code performance by Lionel Barrymore.
But it is cheesy as Hell by today's standards.
