Review of A Fistful of Fingers (1995) by Thomas S — 16 Sep 2014
I'm a bit freaked out by this. I watched this as I quite like Edgar Wright films and wanted to see what his early stuff was like. The first thing I noticed was a familiar name on the opening credits but thought nothing of it until the kid I went to school with appeared.
Then I saw his brother, then I started to recognise the scenery and a few other faces. It turns out I went to school with half of the cast and it was filmed where I grew up. I knew that Hot Fuzz was filmed just down the road from me but I never realised Edgar Wright was a local boy come good.
The appearance of all these people I knew didn't really help the film much, for most of it I thought it was poor but, by the end I started to appreciate the humour a bit and thought it had it's Pythonesque moments.
