Review of A Fish Called Wanda (1988) by Adam F — 15 Mar 2013
"A Fish Called Wanda" is a very funny, very British comedy. The cast is great and they all play distinct, memorable characters that all have really funny quirks. Most of the comedy comes from these characters interacting with each other and this makes for a lot of good running jokes that play out through the movie in a really satisfying way.
You get to know the crooks that are the focus of the movie and not only do you care about what happens to them but you kind of start cheering for them, even though you're not supposed to. The dialogue is really sharp and the writing is tight so you'll get more than a few laughs out of it.
