Review of A Film with Me in It (2008) by Jenna I — 27 Jan 2010
I love Ian Fitzgibbon - he is an excellent director and this film definitely proves that Fitzgibbon knows how to take a story and tell it well. This movie may be one of the most disturbing black comedies I have ever watched - yet it was absolutely hilarious. I watched this movie alone, and don't normally find movies that funny when I watch them by myself, but this movie just made me laugh out loud - despite the fact that I was watching it from my couch in my apartment alone. There were moments when I had to pause the film because I was laughing so hard... and the laughing wasn't necessarily because of the humour, but because of the situations that Fitzgibbon puts his characters in. Dylan Moran is fantastic in this film just like he is in everything else he has done.
I defintely recommend this film for all! And check out Fitzgibbon's new film: Perrier's Bounty! Another dark comedy that will keep you laughing and leave you disturbed at the same time!
