Never have I seen a film and the reaction to a film confirm one of the biggest problems with film, especially documentaries. If your movie is about a certain concept (in this case, the Holocaust), your movie will get a lot more attention and acclaim than if it is about something else.
This movie lets you know that the persecution of the Jews by the Nazis was terrible and lots of people suffered and died. We know. You haven't told us anything profound, you haven't even shown us anything we haven't seen before with this footage from a Nazi film.
In fact, what struck me the most is apart from a few scenes, all the footage in the propaganda film within the film seemed to portray Jews as suffering, poor, and hungry, which is what they were. I didn't hate this movie, but the filmmaker didn't even try.
All this movie is is another Holocaust movie.
