Review of A Film Unfinished (2010) by Erica W — 03 May 2011
This film is unbelievable. It could be the greatest film I've ever seen, heartbreaking and depressing, incredibly real. it is absolutely brilliant. I feel it was completely and wonderfully developed.
.. it's a depressing juxtaposition of rich and poor, the unknown and known, SS among Jews, and real life with the modern idea of what one would expect from modern film. it's terrific, but incredibly haunting.
It's something you need time to carve out so you can really watch it and soak in all the details. It's painful to see the faces of those who have been numbers in textbooks.
