Review of A Film Unfinished (2010) by Bruce B — 12 May 2011
People complaining about this not being a good documentary are misguided. It is really a primary historical document, with people who lived through the events it shows reacting to it. The film is of regular life in the ghetto so there isn't anything revolutionary shown that hasn't been talked about or shown in other movies.
Still the value is that it is an actual document, not a film and the people shown are reacting to a life they lived. I think the implications of the film (the fact that almost everyone shown was killed, etc.
) are far more powerful than anything shown in it.
