Review of A Few Good Men (1992) by Colin A — 21 Jan 2010
Very good movie. It starts of as a type of detective story before eventually leading into a great courtroom drama. You watch it and it looks like you are really witnessing a military tribunal in play. The cast is impressive, especially Jack Nicholson; although he is only on screen for a relatively short period of time, he has some really great lines that have now become some of the most famous in the history of film.
The plot itself is very intriguing because it gets into the psychology that develops when a strict chain of command is used and what types of problems can occur when it is abused. My favorite part may be the ending, which really helps underscore why the issue is not clear-cut and that it should be given the complex treatment (and judgement) that is deserves.
I definitely recommend it.
