Review of A Few Good Men (1992) by Justin B — 18 Mar 2010
A very engaging drama that takes a fairly mundane incident, military punishment gone bad, and turns it into a riveting, high-stakes courtroom battle. Tom Cruise channels his natural annoying arrogance into his role as a cocky navy lawyer.
Jack Nicholson plays the role of a rough as rocks Marine colonel, and although he is in only a few scenes, his presence is memorable and brilliantly performed. This is a tightly told story with few loopholes or flaws.
It's engaging and worth watching. I'll salute A Few Good Men "any day of the week, and twice on Sunday".
