Review of A Few Good Men (1992) by Anthony E — 07 Oct 2009
A bit slow and choppy to start, but was very interesting in the trial scenes. Can't believe they actually followed most of the appropriate trial procedure! Very happy about that, too often Hollywood takes too many liberties with the legal stuff.
Tom Cruise had his moments in this one, though he is still a terrible actor. Demi Moore was quite irritating and incompetent as a lawyer, so I guess that means her acting skills aren't half bad. And of course, you can't find fault with Jack Nicholson chomping on a cigar actng all bad-ass.
I liked how the trial turned out 'cause even Hollywood couldn't stretch the law that far. It was extremely fun to analyze their portrayal of trial procedure and legal gymnastics.
