Review of A Few Good Men (1992) by Jay L — 27 May 2011
"- I WANT THE TRUTH!!".
"- YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!".
A razor-sharp and ultra-snappy legal drama from a collaboration between Director Rob Riener and Writer Aaron Sorkin (The West Wing, The Social Network). A Few Good Men is an intensely intelligent and supremely cerebral miltary courtroom drama of the highest degree. It's a tension packed and suspense-filled roller coaster ride of pin you to your seat entertainment. A smart man's legal drama, one that has true intelligence and a massive amount if brains.this film features excellent direction, great set pieces, sizzlingly cunning and snap-a-minute dialogue and flawless costume design. An exhilration for the mind, it demands your full attention all of the way through and gets better with multiple viewings. Its "Courage Under Fire" meets "Rules Of Engagement" with many similar elements to the Grisham adaptations. A great legal drama, awesome work by eeryobe involved.
Spectacular performances from Tom Cruise, Demi Moore, Jack Nicholson, Keifer Sutherland and Kevin Pollack. Kevin Bacon gave a brilliant performance, one of his best, he flexed his acting muscle and let his talent rain down on everyone. A steller cast for a steller film thats well worth a look.
