Review of A Dog's Purpose (2017) by Justin Y — 29 Jan 2017
This was an amazing movie...as good as "Hachi", which I think is the epitome of all dog movies. The movie does a terrific job of showing both the cruelty and compassion of humans and how dogs have undying loyalty to their owners, regardless of what that owner's purpose is for them.
This movie is getting a very undeserved bad rap thanks to animal rights extremists, showing edited footage that makes it look like a dog is suffering trauma...news flash: people force their dogs to do things they don't want to do all the time.
..have you ever watched how terrified most dogs are to go inside of the plastic tubing when they're doing agility training? It's just ridiculous, and I completely side with Dennis Quaid on what was going on behind the scenes.
Judge the movie based on the content...not some curiously timed edited footage sold to TMZ for a few bucks.
