Spoiler Alert. The movie isn't just about a dog dying... but it 'gets to die' over and over and over again. There are many heart warming moments for dog lovers. My personal take is that it could have been a highly acclaimed film without any narration.
Seeing the story unfold on its own would have been a Master Stroke.
