Review of A Dog's Purpose (2017) by Sherrie C — 09 May 2017
One of the best movies I have seen in a very long time. Not what I was expecting at all. My grown up son and I saw it together. He is a macho young executive at one point I looked over and noticed him embarrassed because he was tearing up.
20 minutes later it was my turn. But not for the reasons we expected. I don't want to give the movie away but see the movie with someone you want to reconnect with or care about. The movie brought out emotions in us as humans we were not expecting.
It is a roller coaster ride of emotions that are so deep it is uncomfortable at times but don't stop watching. The message is much bigger than just the dog, it is a message about being alive and being human that you don't want to miss.
It also has messages about the way we treat animals that needed to be said. Go see this movie you wont be sorry! Would be a great movie to find out how the person you are dating responds to very deep emotions OR to teach a child about compassion or caring for something other than ourselves.
