Review of A Dog's Life (1918) by Jason M — 07 Sep 2016
A brilliant Charlie Chaplin short film of 30 minutes. This is the first film with his brother Sydney and the first in his contract with First National. Despite this length, it gave me more laughs than 100 hours of modern sitcom comedy.
The early genius of Chaplin in conceptualizing these gags and a plot within such a short duration is fascinating. The dog tail wagging scene is hysterical!
